Association of European Automotive and Industrial Battery Manufacturers

EUROBAT General Assembly and Forum 2020

From June 04, 2020 until June 05, 2020

In view of the European Green Deal, the European Commission has recognised the potential of automotive and industrial batteries to help make Europe the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

Building on the European Battery Alliance, which acknowledges the “strategic imperative” of battery production for clean energy transition, decarbonisation and innovation, batteries are set to be a central part of the EU’s climate and industrial policy agenda in the years ahead as they are an essential component in automotive, energy storage, telecommunications and logistical applications.

Considering these policy developments and the importance of all battery chemistries to Europe’s low carbon future, this year’s EUROBAT Forum will discuss the upcoming legislative and regulatory developments, including the Batteries Directive and ELV review, the global battery landscape and latest industry trends, as well as the bigger political picture in Europe.

The timing and programme will be communicated soon.
