REACH is the European Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemical substances. EUROBAT members have participated in the registration of the most important substances used in batteries, namely nickel, lithium, lead and lead compounds and sulphuric acid. Battery industry suppliers are responsible for registration in respect to the majority of substances used in batteries.
